Largest Balloon in North America to launch in Eden

Energizer Bunny Hopping to Ogden Valley Balloon & Artist Festival in celebration of 20th Birthday

Eden, Utah — The Hot "Hare" Balloon will be a BIG part of the fun during the Ogden Valley Balloon Festival August 14, 15 & 16. This is the tallest hot air balloon in the world—15 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty. A normal hot air balloon is only the size of the Hot "Hare" Balloon's ears. Pilot Glo Kehoe has flown the Hot "Hare" Balloon all around the country for the past eight years. It's a full-time, high-flying job. Despite the balloon's size, it rides "like a magic carpet ride," Kehoe says. Joining her is Crew Chief, Kimberly Whiteman. Kehoe and Whiteman make up the only all-female corporate balloon team in the country.

It takes a lot of hot air to get this balloon inflated. The balloon's double burners produce 30 million BTUs—that's equal to the heat of 30 million birthday candles! "The Energizer Bunny® is a role model for people of all ages. He reminds us of the never-quit spirit in each and every one of us," said Betsy Laako, Director of the Hot Hare Balloon Tour. The Energizer Bunny® first appeared in a 1989 parody of a television ad but kept "going and going" right off the commercial set. More information can be found at www.energizer.com

The event program for the Balloon Festival will be distributed throughout the Ogden Valley on Tuesday, August 11 at all major businesses such as Valley Market, Post Offices, Real Estate Offices, service stations and lodging properties.
