
Jennifer Burns announced as the Master of Ceremony
for the Ogden Valley Balloon Festival
Ogden Valley, Utah – Jennifer Burns, host of the “Cooking Delight” television show has been announced as the Master of Ceremony for the kick-off concert event on August 15, 2008, at the Ogden Valley Balloon Festival.
“We are really excited to have Jennifer as the MC for the event. With the energy she displays, she is sure to get the crowd excited about the weekends’ entire event schedule,” said Larry McBride, Chairman of the Festival. “Jennifer is the perfect candidate to make that happen.”
The 14th Annual Ogden Valley Balloon Festival in Eden is scheduled for August 15, 16 & 17. The festival will offer fun for the whole family. It will feature balloon launches, arts and crafts booths, continuous live entertainment featuring a diverse selection of music, an antique car show, kids’ games and a climbing wall.
Wilkerson Fine Art & Consulting and OgdenValleyMagazine.com are sponsoring a “Plein Air” art competition. The outdoor competition will start Saturday morning, August 16. Artists will paint from 8:00am-3:00pm. The Exhibit and Silent Auction takes place at Wolf Mountain from 4:00-6:00pm. The awards announcement will take place at Wolf Mountain at 5:00pm.
“Jennifer is a natural tie-in to the Festival because she has had a lot of the music acts and a couple of the artists participating in the events on her show”, said Kris Wilkerson, owner of Wilkerson Fine Art and Consulting. “She promotes the local music and art community on a very large platform, which is a tremendous exposure for their artistic abilities. It will be fun to have her MC this year.”
The “Cooking Delight” show concept is “A PARTY IN THE KITCHEN,” a high-energy program featuring a variety of themes, original recipes, live music and celebrity guests. “Cooking Delight” is upbeat and promotes cooking in a fun atmosphere inspiring viewers to see cooking as a creative outlet and “To Be and Artist in Their Kitchen!” Jennifer Burns encourages viewers to have more fun in the kitchen and to look at cooking in a positive way.
“This event combines fun activities for kids and adults with a pool of tremendously talented musicians and artists and a wonderful variety of food being offered by different vendors,” states Burns. “The Festival encompasses the theme of “Cooking Delight”, which combines food, music and art with a spectacular show of hot air balloons rising in the morning and again at dusk. I am thrilled to be involved in the event this year.”
